Right since its inception in 1963, UPS has had a distinctive mission that sets it apart from other schools in the province i.e. affordable and accessible to students from all levels of the society. Besides children of Peshawar University employees and boarders from far flung areas, our students traditionally belong to the villages and institutions surrounding the school. Admission in school is based essentially on merit rather than any other considerations so that the school has been showing a consistent 100 % result over the last ten years. This result usually comprises of 70 % students getting A-1 grade while the bottom line remains above 60 %. This school, being a constituent part of the University of Peshawar, does not run on commercial basis so that there is always a huge gap between the nominal fees that it receives from its students and the expenses incurred on it. Only last year. The university spent and additional sum of Rs.15 million on this school to take care of the this gap. We are launching this site with a view to opening the school to the world at large hoping that this shall provide a rendezvous for all our current and past students and other concerned persons to exchange views thus providing us an opportunity to benefit from their valued experiences and suggestions.
